Moving Fast ...

From his first weekend at Porsche
Sport Driving School in March of
2006, to his first overall win at a
National PCA Club Race at Virginia
International Raceway in August of
'08, Jade Buford has impressed
coaches and competitors alike.

At the conclusion of that winning weekend at VIR Buford was awarded the Novice Award for best young driver as well as the Worker's Choice Award for outstanding driver of the weekend.

"He did a good job," said Porsche Sport Driving School Instructor and RSR Motorsports hot shoe Owen Trinkler. "That was a good race for
him to understand, it's different being a leader rather than chasing somebody. To lead it and run consistent laps - it was a good way for him to finish the year."

Buford did so well in 2008 that he was offered a position with the three-car RSR Motorsports Team for the full 2009 Rolex Grand Am Koni Challenge Series season co-driving a Mini Cooper S with Owen Trinkler.

Buford has run consistently fast this year, earning a season-best (so far) fourth place at Barber Motorsports Park on July 18. And he is turning heads.

Racers Edge team owner Jon Mirachi offered Buford a test in the Racers Edge Motorsports Mazda RX-8 GT car following the race weekend at Barber Motorsports.

Mirachi was impressed by Buford's day at the wheel of his team's No. 30 machine: "He showed a tremendous level of maturity for such a young driver," Mirachi commented. "By the end of the test he was outbraking even highly experienced, professional Mazda GT drivers!" he added.

Next up, Racers Edge has asked Buford to join the Mazda RX-8 team for the Rolex race at Miller Motorsports Park on September 19. He'll run the Koni Challenge on Friday and the Rolex on Saturday.

Keep your eye on Buford. He is moving fast...
